Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish model and actor since 11 November 1996. Her feature film debut was a small part in her debut role in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Later, she portrayed Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan donavan was featured in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987. Charlotte appeared in Taffin (in the year 1988) and Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Approached by a photographer Doody began to model that eventually led to an industry-related career in modelling. Doody avoided nude and glamour work. This was a principle she carried over to her acting. In the event that she was brought to director's attention in an upcoming James Bond film, Doody was offered a small role for a small part in A View to a Kill (1985). Doody's name was featured within John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising new actors of 1986. 38. Doody had just turned 18 years old at the time she was cast in the role of Bond girl. Doody is the youngest Bond girl. Another film from her early days played a tiny part in the film in a small role as IRA member Siobhan Donovan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) which was a film starring Mickey Rourke. Doody was an actress in silent films in a 1987 film adaptation of The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. In a Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody played Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. She then took on her most memorable role to date as Austrian archaeologist and Nazisympathiser Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody played the role with Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was inspired by The Hitler Diaries publishing scam. She subsequently relocated to Hollywood. It was her choice to succeed Cybill Shepard as L'Oreal spokeswoman and went on to star opposite Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his wife and agent in Major League II. After a long absence from screen Doody was back in the acting world and acted in a tiny role in 2003's British comedy movie The Actors with Michael Caine playing herself in an event scene for the award ceremony. The roles she played included a TV movie version of King Solomon's Mines in 2004, a booklet about the Holocaust, and an animated short called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. In 2010 Doody was a character of Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). She was also scheduled to be the main character on The Asphyx remake, but that project fell through. The year 2011 saw her debut on the first of two seasons on E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way. She received the Almeria tierra de cinema award on November 21, 2018.
