Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Spears was born the 2nd of December 1981 in McComb, Mississippi & raised in Kentwood, Louisiana. As a youngster, Britney attended dance classes and was a pro at gymnastics. She was a winner of many contests and similar. Britney was a great dancer and singer. When she was just eight, Britney tried out for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989), but was turned down because of her age. It led her to an off-Broadway production, "Ruthless", for an entire two-year run as the title character. At 11 years old she was back on stage for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989). It was a different time, she was an actor in the show along with other stars of today, Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez (*NSYNC) and Ryan Gosling. Her big break, however, was after she was signed as an artist with Jive Records in the late 1990s. After the release of her debut album"Baby One Last Time" "...Baby One More Time" in early 1999 Britney was a worldwide hit with 13 million copies of "Baby" and 9 million (as as of July 2001) of her second album "Oops !...I Did It Again" which was released in May of 2000. Britney was born to Lynne Spears & Jamie Spears and has a big brother, Bryan Spears & a little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney was destined to be an upcoming star at a young age. Britney loved singing and was influenced by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) on television at age 8. However, she was not a suitable age for the role. Britney moved to New York with her mother and infant sibling. She was a part of numerous TV commercials and was also an understudy for Natalie Portman in "Ruthless" off-Broadway. After a few years her love for dancing and music began to take over. Britney auditioned once more to appear on "Mickey Mouse" and was picked along with Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera Christina Aguilera, as well as Justin Timberlake.
