Steve Aoki

Steve Aoki was conceived in Miami, Florida on November 30 1977. American electro-house musician and record producer. D.J. Music executive. He is the third child of Chizuru and Rocky Aoki's children. His father was a former wrestler, and was also instrumental in helping to create the restaurant chain Benihana. He has two brothers: Kana (sometimes called Grace) and Kevin (owner Doraku Sushi restaurant). His half-sister's model & actress Devon Aoki. The family was raised in Newport Beach, California and graduated from Newport Harbor High School, in which he was a part of the badminton varsity team. He then attended UC Santa Barbara, graduating w/ 2 B.A. He earned two degrees: one in sociology and one in feminist studies. In college, he produced DIY recordings and held underground events from his Biko room at the Santa Barbara Student Housing Cooperative. For its use as a venue for concerts, the room became known as The Pickle Patch. He was also active in student activism during his time at UCSB. He created an organization called the Revolutionary Anti-Imperialist League Chapter on campus. In his early 20s Dim Mak had established his own record company, which he named Dim Mak in honor of his hero from childhood Bruce Lee. In March 2010 the artist came out with I'm in the House, a collaboration with the Zuper Blahq-like alter-ego of the Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am. It hit the No. 29 on the U.K. singles chart in the first week. The song reached the top five of both the U.K. Indie Chart and the U.K. Dance Chart. The song was featured in the MTV show Jersey Shore as well as in the feature film Piranha & the trailer for Think Like A Man. The interview with HitQuarters in May of 2010 with Lucas Secon revealed that Rivers Cuomo and he had recently recorded a song together. The song was named the highest-grossing North American dance artist by Pollstar in 2012. He has collaborated with artists like Afrojack and Linkin Park, Afrojack. Linkin Park, Will.i.am. Lil Jon. Blink-182, Laidback Luke. BTS. Louis Tomlinson. Rise Against. Vini Vii & Fall Out Boy. He is famous for remixing artists like Kid Cudi.
