Evan Rachel Wood

Evan Rachel Wood was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, on the 7th of September, 1987. Her father, Ira David Wood III (a actor in the theatre writer, director, and actor) is her father. Sara Wood Wood is her mother, as well as an actress. Her brothers who are older than her are Dana Wood, a musician and Ira David Wood IV who also have been actors. Evan and her brothers sometimes were on stage at Theatre In The Park in Raleigh where her father established and where he is the executive director. After a lengthy audition and a five-year age gap, she was old when she had the opportunity to screen-test with Kirsten Dunst. In 1996, she relocated to Los Angeles along with her brother Ira and mother. She has appeared in TV series film, feature films, and TV movies since. Her performance also garnered acclaim due to her powerful performance in the role of Stephanie her character, Mickey Rourke's estranged daughter in Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler (2008). She is the daughter of Sara Wood and Ira David Wood III. The younger sister of Ira David Wood IV and Dana Wood. Trained in dance. She enjoys to sing, do horseback riding, and rollerblade. She is an black belt in Tae-Kwon do. She keeps in touch with many of her Once and Again (1999 castmates: Mischa Barrton, Julia Whelan and Shane West.
