Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop boy
band formed in 2009. The group is comprised of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow
and Logan Henderson. They first signed with Nick Records in 2009. Then,
Columbia Records transferred them to their new label. The group was featured in
the Nickelodeon television show of the same name, Big Time Rush. The show ran
from November 28th the 29th of 2009 to July 25, 2013. The pilot episode
featured the group's first single for promotion, "Big Time Rush".
Three studio albums were released by the group: BTR in 2010 and Elevate (2011)
and 24/Seven (2013). The band went on an indefinite hiatus from 2014 that ran
until 2021. they resumed live shows and released their single "Call It
Like I See It". Nickelodeon has signed Big Time Rush to an album deal in
2009, alongside its TV series, Big Time Rush. Then, Nickelodeon partnered with
Columbia/Epic Label Group to create the show and add original soundtrack to the
show. The series' first single, "Big Time Rush" came out on November
29 on the 29th of November. The announcement was made by Nickelodeon the series
first shown in the U.S. in November 2009, until it was eventually made
available worldwide. It debuted during a preview of the show. It's currently
the show's main theme. Promo singles were also released by the show, including
"City is Ours" (with Big Time Rush) and "Any Kind of Guy".
Big Time Rush recorded "Famous" by Play. The song debuted on iTunes
on June 29 2010. Another track, "Halfway There", was released to
iTunes on April 27, 2010, following its debut on the series. The song quickly
became the first single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Due to digital
sales, it reached number 93. On September 21 in 2010, Big Time Rush released
second single "Till I Forget About You" in order to announce the
release of their debut album. The album, which is titled BTR it was launched on
the 11th of October, the 11th of October, 2010. The album debuted at the top of
three on the Billboard 200. It sold an initial 67,000 copies.
